Join me for a trip through the World's Most Exciting Hotel. This blog covers the evolution of the Disneyland Hotel through the Wrather years, 1955 to 1989. Hope it brings back some wonderful memories.

Can anybody help to date this overhead picture? Please provide evidence to support your year.
I'll say 1996 or 1997. The Indiana Jones attraction building is there (opened in 1995), but it appears Tomorrowland hadn't been destroyed yet for the 1998 redo (the gantry lift for the Rocket Jets is still there and the Carousel Theater building still has it's overhang above the entry ramps)
At the Disneyland Hotel section, you can still see the outline of the miniature golf course and the building that was once the terminal at the heliport is still there. I lose track of things after Disney took over but is that a parking lot where the driving range was located?
Don - It doesn't appear to be very old; Toon Town seems to be there, so it's at least after 1993.

ReplyDeleteAccording to Google Earth, it's a USGS satellite photo taken October 3, 1995.

ReplyDeleteThanks all for your help. I didn't realize Toon Town was so small.
